Exhaust System ISU*ZU Diesel Oxidation Catalyst DOC+DPF Completely Diesel Particulate Filter Converter

The Exhaust System for an ISUZU Diesel engine typically includes a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The DOC is designed to convert harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides into less harmful compounds. This is achieved by a chemical reaction that occurs when exhaust gases pass over a catalyst-coated surface inside the DOC.

The DPF, on the other hand, is designed to capture and trap particulate matter (PM) from the exhaust gas stream. It consists of a ceramic honeycomb structure that is coated with a layer of catalytic material. As exhaust gases pass through the honeycomb, the PM is trapped and eventually burned off when the exhaust gas temperature is high enough.
